Mike Clelland and Hidden Experience

Mike Clelland is a ufology blogger and Hidden Experience is his creation. He is an unassuming guy when you first get to know him. He’s considerate and conversant on a number of topics, including his love of hiking. His bright eyes are both observant and present as he engages others in conversation. I met him some years ago for the first time at an International UFO Congress. He seemed a really likeable guy whose interest in Ufology was a little deeper than most.

Since then, I’ve come to know Mike as a stand-up guy that does his best to stay rooted in inquiry without judgment. That’s a tough one to find in Ufology as most folks have some kind of agenda they are pushing, whether it’s book sales or some newfangled device. Mike is just a real down-to-earth guy who does his homework and presents what he finds with as clear and articulate a method as he can muster. His blog, Hidden Experience, is a great read.

Of course that doesn’t mean he stays in areas that are comfortable or convenient within Ufology. Far from it. His recent article on Roger Marsh questions the status of addressing the abduction and contactee phenomena. Roger had been recently interviewed and stated that he had to set that topic aside, essentially. Now to put that in perspective he is the editor for the monthly MUFON Journal. Traditionally MUFON is focused on physical phenomena and not on individual/subjective experiences. So it stands to reason that he has to put his opinions aside when functioning as a professional representing MUFON.

Mike still explores the question of abduction and contactee events, though. Roger was not offended by Mike’s inquisition at all. It wouldn’t surprise me if Roger even appreciated that Mike brought up the subject in the first place. So what of abductions and/or contactee experiences? Do they deserve more research and scrutiny with an open yet objective perspective? It would seem so. After all, wouldn’t we want to know what the ETs are saying?

I have to admit, though, that this brings up a vastly more subjective and often surreptitious field of play. There is tremendous polarization amongst the constituents of ufology from alien take-overs for control of resources, human and material; to a new world order of harmony among people and planet facilitated by humankind with ET help. Thrown in to the mix is the constant call for disclosure that seems almost anticlimactic now. What are your thoughts?

ET Phone Home… Contact in the Desert Review

Michael, Z & GiorgioET Phone Home…
Was there Contact in the Desert?

Held at the Joshua Tree Retreat and Event Center, renown for its history of prominent personages and gatherings. Contact in the Desert brought folks from all over the world to hear many of the most prestigious names in Ufology today. This was literally one of the hottest multidisciplinary events in Ufology history, not to mention the weather. We didn’t get the chance to hear everyone, but we asked a lot of questions of the patrons who had gathered. Our cottage was a gathering place for after event conversations and meteor shower gazing.

Ear to the Ground

panel - et contactGeorge Noory [Coast to Coast host] was one of the highlights of the event. He led a panel that shared a variety of perspectives on the subject of ufology which also included some reflections on where we’ve been, where we are and where we are apparently going. Going into detail on those subjects would take volumes.

Suffice it to say don’t believe everything you hear and test that which you do with your own experience and understanding. We’re much closer to each other than one might think. Dr. Steven Greer‘s CE-5 gathering didn’t get a lot of compliments, though, yet the folks were glad to have had the opportunity to gather together with intention.

Michael Tellinger‘s presentation highlighted his ongoing discoveries of ancient artifacts and the connections with psychospiritual technologies used to move large objects. Alfred Webre‘s concern for what he calls ‘transhumanists’ and their electronic manipulation of DNA from a distance led to understanding the capacity of conscious awareness being able to circumvent any such action. Celeste Yarnall expressed that letting go of fear is the key to ascending from the trauma of life, let alone abduction. We’re all looking for the next step in our human evolution.

Surprises… or not.

After over a decade of corresponding, Alfred & Zen finally meet.

Alfred & Zen finally meet after being introduced by Winifred Barton over a decade prior. Our conversation was one of the highlights of the event.

Reports from several attendees expressed concerns for sharing the truth. Many feel it should be free; consistent with the methods in which it is discovered. Yes it may come through a series of trials and tribulations, yet when one is willing to experience them the ‘truth’ is revealed. One speaker was said to have expressed to his audience that if they wanted the truth they had to pay him for it. How would you feel hearing that from the podium?

The overall consensus, at least in the sample group questioned about the event, was that we are evolving in our own understanding and ability to make better choices. The ‘message’ from ET is: ‘take care of yourselves and the planet.’ Seems its the age-old challenge of learning to get along. Civilizations that have developed the technology to travel dimensions, space, time and communicate telepathically all share this premise, not surprisingly consistent with the core of most religious and spiritual teachings.

Our capacity to connect with our star families leads us to greater awareness. More over, through our ‘right use of will’ the intended affects of the ‘controlling’ faction (HAARP, etc) are lessened by the advancement of consciousness within humanity. Finally, there was agreement with the presentation of humans as cosmic consciousness condensed into forms we call bodies. The conscious recognition of the fact is what the extraterrestrials are attempting to get through to us.

Ultimately many felt we are them, just in a lesser developed state of being on Earth so far, hence the conflicting understanding of lesser evolved and material-minded individuals and the more evolved spiritually-minded folks who see the prospects of harmony among people and planet as real.

The question is: How do we bridge the understanding with practical application of science and technology for the benefit of everyone?

Martin Willis & Michael Lauck – Podcast UFO

Podcast UFOMartin Willis and Michael Lauck, along with some support staff, are dedicated Ufologists. Their Podcast UFO series is a steady stream of information to the curious and seasoned researcher. We’ve snagged some content from their website to share with you.

The subject of UFOs has fascinated Martin since his youth, yet he was on the fence about the subject. He experienced a sighting in 2006 in Carmel Valley, CA, that solidified his beliefs that UFOs really do exist.

Since this time, Martin has paid attention to what others have to say about the phenomenon with an open mind. Pondering what UFOs may be, or if they are possibly extraterrestrial helped spaenhanced-2rk his interest to another level. In the last number of years, Martin has become interested in astronomy and always maintained a strong scientific fascination of our vast universe.

Martin feels certain that we are not alone and thinks it is possible that some small part of our government knows that and keeps it from us. As a seasoned podcast host, and armchair UFOlogist, he created Podcast UFO in November, 2011.

Martin’s mission is to provide a place where anyone could interact and be heard who had a UFO experience or insight on the subject. Martin is an artist as well as a longtime antique & fine art appraiser. His varied interests are in arts, nature, scuba diving, humor, travel and our mysterious cosmos.

Open Minds Radio talks with Willis about his sighting, some of his favorite guests, and his coverage of the 2013 Center for UFO’s Symposium in North Carolina.

Michael Lauck is a freelance writer and producer. He became interested in UFOs at an early age Avatar2because of 1970s television programs such as Project UFO and In Search Of….

He has seen an unidentified flying object, but describes his sighting as “relatively unspectacular,” reporting that both the stealth bomber and White Knight launch vehicle were more interesting. In his spare time he trains in Chinese martial arts, does pen and ink illustrations and, according to his wife, watches too many kung fu and zombie films.

You can find them at Podcast UFO.
