The State of Ufology Today

What do you think about the state of Ufology today? Does it meet up to your expectations? Sadly, it falls short for nearly every serious investigator. It falls even shorter for experiencers who wish the topics of discussion to be more focused on real interactions.

What has happened to what once seemed to be a burgeoning field of study for and with folks who’ve had some kind of experience or at least witnessed what has often been termed ‘UFOs’?

Some years ago, in a presentation in England, Bob Dean spoke of the fact that ‘they’ are no longer ‘UFOs’ because we know what they are… visitors in various types of interstellar and perhaps interdimensional craft. Paul Hellyer, retired Canadian Defense Minister, speaks openly about his knowledge from his prior position and current relationships.

Banal Banter

So many today banter about the past; opinions and research that have been so trampled they have lost their appeal to serious folks. You might be one of them. Unfortunately, the attraction to the curious has helped to develop an industry that supports speculators and storytellers as much as real information sharing. In the thirty plus years the author has been involved there have been at least three cycles of activity. Stephen Bassett does his best to keep it real as he continues to lobby for disclosure, but is he involved because it is a lifestyle, passion, or a way to earn a living and travel? Dr. Steven Greer continues to speak about his contact techniques and the familiar message he admits to receiving as well, but is he legit or just playing the crowd?

Each cycle starts with some real information, a new breakthrough or personage that suddenly decides to share their story. Then the attention gets distracted to old information that’s rehashed and then on to some sci-fi encounter that has something to do with a conspiracy. Whether it is a government coverup of interaction with aliens or a secret space program, the process repeats about every 10 to 12 years with new people. We’re due for a new spin. We all oppose deceivers, right?

Money for Nothing

What began in 1991 as the International UFO Congress in Tucson, Arizona has become a business venture. It spawned several others over the years, some doing better than others. They all tend to follow the pattern shared above. The better the marketing and/or story, the more intriguing the conspiracy or mystery, numbers flock and those numbers mean dollars. In loose surveys over the last decade or so, real experiencers and serious folk express the need for discussing the non-human intelligences and communication that reveals a common thread toward learning how to live in harmony with natural law and order, like the universe.

Is there a theme to all the communication including crop circles, experiences of sensory input still needing a language to articulate coherently, telepathic and virtual visitations? There doesn’t seem to be any disagreement with the aforementioned ‘message’ about learning to live together. That is, as people getting along, the entire gamut from planet (its elements) to living creatures with and without ‘consciousness’ or what we express as being sentient. It naturally occurs in the evolution of sentient beings, every planetary civilization capable of star travel has learned it.

Who Goes There?

Believe it or not, there are humans who have learned it as well, nearly every one knows of interdimensional as well as interstellar capabilities. They cut through all the Ufology industry stuff, usually by non-engagement, and look for other ways of more ethically-driven ways to gather. The events around the world today, as off-center as they are, still bring many folks who don’t know where else to find kindred folk. The names have been changed to protect the innocent and maintain anonymity so employment wouldn’t be jeopardized.

More recently there have been great efforts by an organization that was endorsed by Dr. Edgar Mitchell as one of his final acts to continue his work in consciousness studies. Through their surveys, which are anonymous, over 4,000 participants have shared their personal experiences. Now we’re getting somewhere with FREE information. The data from these surveys is available and getting some attention. Rey Hernandez heads up the organization. Perhaps it will give folks encouragement to speak more publicly, somewhat anonymously. Rey certainly isn’t shy.

The general sense in this ‘free’ population is that things are progressing toward a beneficial end. Statistically over time the perception of events even changes toward the beneficial. It seems that as consciousness develops, the perception of events can drastically change as the experiencer progresses. Long-term contact tends to result in a vastly different understanding, congruent with the theme above. Hopefully the Ufology industry will recognize folks with integrity and take a chance on elevating the conversation.

Cosmic Comedy

In other areas, still cyclical and spiraling up the experience peak, Grant Cameron speaks and writes on the patterns of contact and the style and type associated with each ’round’ of the cycle. Is his research authentic and objective or putting a new spin on old information? Richard Dolan has become an expert in the history and he expresses an intellectual curiosity toward an optimistic quest of intentions and potential interspecie work. Is their research authentic and objective or just putting a new spin on old information?

Although it’s talked about religiously in some circles, the general public doesn’t seem to understand there have been those living among us for millennia. Even those who do admit the possibility or even reality, they don’t engage it any further. I find that suspect, or maybe a bit fearful of revealing their worst fears of prejudice toward others. Are we really learning how to get along or just hide our deceptive separative notions better?

It seems that the world continues to spiral out of control in our efforts to control our path. Many individuals are awakening to an understanding of holistic systems that permeate our lives. If consciousness evolves and the thoughtmosphere expands, what is the critical mass that would begin to right the ship, ‘our’ relationship that is. The ability to manage machinery with a mixture of galvanic response, psychokinesis and telepathy is just one example of understanding universal law and order, using built-in features of our very nature. It is currently way out of our ability to be disciplined to that degree. We like to argue too much.

Conspiracy theories always have an argumentative nature. Debates run high amongst those who believe in them, real or imagined. They take away from the more pressing need for transforming our way of doing business and educating our children on planet Earth. They give us a way to consider and discern, seeking the sensation within that reveals their truth or not. I hear that a lot from the grapevine, the contact underground that Dr. Joseph Burkes has engaged for a couple of decades.

More internet radio hosts are exploring the grapevine, giving us more information to analyze and discern. Randy Maugans and Chris Holly have been doing their own thing for a while with Off Planet Radio. Inception Radio Network has also done a lot toward contributing to the effort, but we have to use our discernment still; the loudest mouths still get too much time. I’m sure there many more. I’ve got to go to work now…

Contact in the Desert 2015

Contact-Desert-2015Contact in the Desert – 2105

Contact in the Desert is growing into a premier Ufology event drawing thousands from around the world. When I first arrived on site in 2013 and ran into Paul Andrews, I was surprised. Then I decided to rekindle an association that started back in 1998. Paul had invited me to come work for him in LA, just off Venice Beach.

I had spectacular results in running The Prophets Conference in Phoenix the previous October. Jim-ZencompThe only bummer was Cody and Robyn Johnson split town without paying me or Jim Dilettoso (right), who had recommended me to them. We did get something later, but then I had to pay the local waste management and generator folks. It was a sad situation and no one suspected the Axiom Group of such behaviors.

Paul and I didn’t work out at the time back then, but it was good to see he had teamed up with Victoria to produce Contact in the Desert. It was a spectacular showing although at the worst time of year for most folks, especially the elderly. It took two years to move it to May and even this last weekend was a bit too much for many. I ran into a elderly woman using a walker who was obviously determined to be there, but had a heck of time in the heat. Perhaps moving it to a different meteor shower period – Lyrids Meteor Shower – might do, April 22-23 with a full moon on April 22.

Speaking of Victoria, Paul’s event partner, she even got into the act of sharing her experiences and understanding on one of the panels in the amphitheater. It was really great to see one of the event coordinators reveal their story. I’m sure the DVD is available through the Contact in the Desert website. All the presentations will be available soon. Ask around and get your favorites. I think you can get the whole package for around $100.

Zen&JohnAnthonyWest-compI love getting into the thick of things, consistent with my given name, Bruce (means ‘dweller of the thicket), and volunteered as an A/V runner delivering the master copies of DVDs to the duplication station just outside the Sanctuary, the main speaker location. I ran into many folks I’ve known for years and met some new folks as well, like John Anthony West.

Of course there were some challenges with the event. When you have a first-some, first-served entrance into the main events it can be a challenge to get in and/or have a decent seat. There were viewing areas outdoors as well that were packed, too. With folks like Erich Von Daniken, Giorgio Tsoukalos, Jimmy Church and George Noory present there is always a crowd around them. Even at 80 (Erich had a birthday over the weekend) he still stands and delivers with a rapid-fire onset of details and facts from years of experience.

Speaking of experience, Grant Cameron and I had a wonderful, albeit short, chat on Sunday andZen&Grant-comp he requested a copy of Zendor the Contrarian, so I’m waiting with baited breath for the review.  Grant is one of the most observant and reflective of the cadre of Ufologists. He’s a bit like Richard Dolan, who thought I must be tagged upon our initial meeting in Phoenix some years ago. The difference is Grant spends much less time on conspiracy as he looks for the threads of commonality in experiencers and evidence of a larger perspective of Communion amongst humanity and our visitors, entering a new state of consciousness.

The Experiencer Gatherings, hosted by Alan Steinfeld and Barbara Jean Lindsey on Friday and Barbara on Sunday were especially dear to my heart. Many folks come to find corroboration and validation in their experiences, even solace in the fact that they are not alone and their concerns are heard. Each has their own interpretation and understanding depending on their level of consciousness and observation capacity. What seemed to be stressed the most through the sharings was to not be afraid and embrace the energy instead of trying to fight it.

Danny&Zen-compNow that doesn’t mean complete surrender to that which you might feel dangerous. It was mentioned that although one may not be prepared, the process of evolution – coming to terms with the cosmic consciousness condensed into form – is tantamount to rising above the fear, guilt and shame game that inhibits the sense of Oneness that more advanced experiencers acknowledge. The sense of open-heartedness in the meetings was obvious in how folks treated one another, too.

The attendance for the event has grown by leaps and bounds, with parking strewn across the 17-acre grounds. I’m not sure of the exact attendance, but it seemed around a couple thousand. We had around five thousand come through at the Prophets Conference in 1997. Event attendance in general is down from years past, but it’s beginning to climb again. The contrast of being in the open-air instead of hotel or resort environments is refreshing, kinda of a Burning Man rendition of Ufology.

Walking around the grounds at night revealed many small groupings of folks enjoy each others DannySheehan-FREE-compcompany, perhaps for the first time. An observer could easily recognize the exuberance and childlike spontaneity of experiencers all across the event grounds. There were some real serious types that often find it difficult to be happy, but the majority of folks by far enjoyed the weekend of Contact in the Desert.

In view but not a big topic of discussion was the presence of FREE via posters Rey Hernandez left with me from the International UFO Congress in February. I’m already looking forward to next year. Thanks to Paul and Victoria and all the staff and volunteers who made this event a memorable one for thousands. In only its third year it is promising to be one of the largest gatherings in the world now. If you considered going this year, but didn’t, I’d make sure to get your ticket early next year.

Volunteers-FREEWe also invite you to find and visit the Rose Cottage in the evenings for some conversation and comaraderie. You’ll meet some of the most interesting folks in a much more intimate environment. Our small group of diverse and unique travelers will welcome you with style and grace. Look forward to seeing you there!

This year’s gathering included Ron James and Steven Bassett. Ron and I had met several years ago when he owned Dream Theater in the Village of Oak Creek, just outside Sedona. An old friend, Swami Beyondananda, was doing a show there. Ron runs a magnificent network called iVolveTV that features material you just have to explore. He also produced the Citizens Hearing DVDs.

Btw, we’re looking for more authors for UfologyPRSS. If you’d like to contribute, please sent us an email with your contact information and reason for wanting to be a contributor, plus a writing sample or link to something of yours online.

Convincing People about UFOs?

ufo congress 1991WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THAT UFOs ARE IMPORTANT?

Joseph Burkes MD 2014

UFO historian Richard Dolan has described the initial reaction of many people to his passionate interest in the subject. They express interest, might even describe something they saw on TV concerning the phenomenon and then after a few minutes of his well informed explanation, their eyes gloss over and they are clearly bored. What about convincing people about UFOs?

THE ROLE OF AUTHORITY FIGURES

Yes opinion polls indicate the public is interested in UFOs, advertising executives have long known this, but the fascination is for most part quite superficial. Why is this? I suspect partly because of the massive denial of authority figures that say, “there is nothing to it.”

After all, the world is so complex; we rely on authorities to put to use vast amounts of data to make what we hope are reasonable decisions. Most people have little understanding of the technological “miracles” that science has achieved, but they are grateful and trust the devices, like planes, autos and computers to work reliably.

Needing to trust leaders I suspect might be built into our biology. For a million years before civilization was established, hunter-gatherers worked in small groups to survive. Leadership was a question of life and death and those clans that had the best leaders, the shamen and sha-women that knew how best to kill the animals or find the healing herbs and deliver the babies, played a critical role in survival. So we the people have a strong tendency to be,”we the sheeple.”

LINKING UFOs TO SOLUTIONS FOR MAJOR PROBLEMS

For the UFO question to take on special importance in the popular imagination it will need to be transformed from an entertaining diversion and become a way of addressing the seemingly insurmountable problems our planet is facing. This is already being attempted by those within the UFO community that discuss the possibility of downloading into our technological culture the secrets of the energy propulsion systems of flying saucers. So-called “free energy” in one fell swoop could eliminate poverty and pollution, thus possibly reversing global warming and ending world hunger.

Of course in order for the so-called ET’s to give us such devices they might understandably insist on a peaceful transformation of our planet to replace what UFOlogist Stanton Friedman has called our perpetual state of “tribal warfare.” This is going to be a hard sell when the mass media and academia in service to their corporate masters repeatedly insist, “There is nothing to it.”

HE WHO PAYS THE PIPER CALLS THE TUNE

From the control groups’ point of view, those of the clandestine forces determined to keep a lid on the UFO issue, an important strategy would be to recruit authority figures to block any significant discussion of flying saucers. Opinion makers who step out of line find that their access to funding cut off. This is all done behind the scenes and is quite effective in my opinion.

In the USA the National Academy of Sciences has made it perfectly clear that UFO studies are not part of the “legitimate” agenda for professional science. Scientists that step out of line will find themselves unable to secure grants thus ending their careers.

In broadcast journalism, talk show hosts that might attempt to inform the public in a detailed way, would find themselves without corporate sponsors. The major newspapers are controlled through their editorial boards that in turn are dependent on corporate sponsors to continue publishing.

This analysis is not a conspiracy theory. I describe the way power works. In the former Soviet Union it was the political dictatorship of the Communist Party that attempted to regulate almost every aspect of people’s lives. That social experiment failed miserably. In the West however social control is far more sophisticated, decentralized and uses the knowledge of social psychology called “public relations” to effectively manipulate the masses.

RESISTANCE TO CHANGE ALSO COMES FROM WITHIN

On the individual level our tendency to identify with our thoughts leads to a profound attachments to old ideas. This resistance to changing one’s point of view flows from the ego itself. People strive to maintain their religion, political ideology, or moral customs to the point where some would even are kill to maintain them. Just look at the present situation in Syria, or at the millions killed centuries ago during the Protestant Reformation in Europe.

So what will it take to change mass public opinion on the flying saucer question? Well mostly it depends on what UFO intelligence chooses to do. If “they” continue the present pattern of interactions, millions of individual sightings yearly, interspersed with occasional massive waves, I imagine that there will be opportunities to slowly build public awareness by a responsible program of education.

RESPONSIBLE PROGRAM OF PUBLIC EDUCATION

This will require UFO enthusiasts to discipline the crazies in our midst, think creatively and most importantly of all build stable, well-financed organizations to carry out the work. All this will need to be done in the face of a powerful opposition of groups that has great experience in controlling public opinion, the economy and their political operatives who run governments.

“TURNING PAGES IN A PLAY BOOK

Can we trust UFO intelligence to follow what we imagine is their existing “game plan?” I suppose not. After all we should never assume that we can think like the so-called “aliens.” The ever-changing pattern of interactions as pointed out by UFO researcher Grant Cameron appears to be as if they are turning the pages of a “play book” with Men in Black in the 1960s, so called “abductions” in the 70s, crop circles in the 80s and continued mental interactions with millions of experiencers many of whom are instilled with a sense of mission and are striving to convince their fellow Earthlings that we should look up and accept what our “lying eyes” are seeing.

My guess is that UFO intelligence will present us with infinitely creative new ways of waking us up from our collective stupor concerning their “wonders in the sky.” I am of the opinion that their presence is non-harmful and very likely to be beneficial to mankind. Bringing others to this hopeful perspective I imagine is a challenge that UFO activists will continue to face for some time.

ET Human Hybrids or Humans in Drag

reptilians-hybridET Human Hybrids or Humans in Drag

What about ET Human Hybrids? Are they humans in drag? I was fortunate to have a few moments with Grant Cameron before and after a recent presentation at the Phoenix MUFON group. Jim Mann and Stacey Wright have grown this group considerably and always provide great presenters, attracting folks from across the state in response.

I had been anticipating a brief conversation and the opportunity to share my second volume of Zendor the Barbarian in hopes of stimulating further conversation. Both were realized and then some. I hadn’t been to a MUFON meeting in over a year evidently and had been missed. I was able to enter and spend a bit of time with Cameron while others waited. I really appreciated the freedom Stacey offered. I was able to have some real quality time and in-depth conversation quickly.

Grant’s blog outlines his presentation that involved the notion that UFO experiences and experiencers have been happening in phases, with one leading toward the next in a gradual introduction or potential induction into a larger society. Of course there are some concerns for any dominant culture’s attempt to influence a society, let alone an entire planet. However, their superiority could have taken the form of planetary conquering long ago if that is what they were truly after in my humble opinion. Still, we have an enigma on our hands. What do they really want? What are these so-called ‘flaps’ of activity leading toward?

The focus of the conversation I was taking perhaps would take Cameron’s work to a new level. I was asking questions about the next level of Ufology inquiry – where are the hybrids? If these abductions/contacts involved harvesting eggs and semen, then where are the kids? If there has been interactions with the human population for thousands of years, how can we be sure there are not thousands if not millions of hybrids here already, either aware or unaware of who and what they are to date?

Our after dinner conversation brought up Dr. Jacobs work and the reports of a group of hybrids (not integrated into society already) being kept somewhere in the US. They weren’t captives, but being introduced to planetary protocols and systems gradually. For instance, there was no concept of furniture or its arrangement in an apartment-type setting. Be that as it may, my interest was more practical (I thought) in the notion of humans with lineages who were already perceptually human, meaning they were probably adopted and raised by families unaware of their advanced nature, yet quite aware of their advanced athletic and academic performance levels.

Cameron’s presentation included the obvious influence of higher-than-human intelligence on the production of music and with specific musicians who had professed their belief in extraterrestrials and UFOs for the entire careers, not always finding public favor I might add. Nonetheless, their music was affected and so were their audiences – millions and possibly billions affected by the airplay over years and years of popularity. For the moment, let’s get back to the question of hybrids and what Dr. Jacobs has to say…

I’m familiar with Dr. Jacobs as well, but I haven’t had the opportunity for a face-to-face yet. Cameron refers to him as well and John Mack. It is my opinion that, although his work (like John Mack’s) is revolutionary, it still leaves certain questions unasked and unexplored. He remains unclear about the ‘process’ as he refers to it. It is my opinion that there is a more subtle and profoundly integrated process of universal order in play. I’ve had reports in working with folks using the Multi-Plane Awareness technique that include seeing their ‘natural’ bodies on other dimensions as various forms we currently call extraterrestrial. I’ve also found that in particular ‘soul gazing’ events (long and lingering looks into the eyes where participants ‘gaze’ into each other) various facial morphs occur, some of them into other races.

So this gives rise to the question of their specie of origin even though they are human in this physical dimension. I’m not sure that there is genetic manipulation occurring. My own experience includes an ‘abduction’ (which I would have consented to so I don’t see it as an abduction per se) in which I awoke with electrodes lining my sphincter and later was told they were part of the process of raising my vibration so that it was easier to communicate. The science fits using the perineum as a direct connect to the spine and central nervous system. Could we indeed be the condensation of consciousness that manifests in human forms due to planetary protocols? Is our evolutionary path inclusive of remembering this process of condensation of consciousness (the gradual lowering of frequency into form)?

What are your thoughts?

What Planet Are You From?

what planet are you from“What Planet Are you from?” is the title a cute comedy film about a lovesick alien who has a change of heart about wanting to take over the Earth. It is also the question that many “Earthlings” might ask if they were to meet a live ET.

According to the highly speculative popular UFO literature many assertions have been made claiming the source of origin of UFOs to be from one star system or another. Top answers to the question include Zeta Reticulae, Arcturius and the Pleiades.

In the 20th century alone, over 100 million humans were killed in wars and revolutions. UFOlogist Stanton Friedman has described the dangers of exporting our “brand of friendship” to the stars. Therefore it is extremely unlikely that any information we receive from the so-called ETs about their planet of origin will be accurate as self-preservation is a sentiment with universal appeal.

I remember the term that Grant Cameron has applied to the messages that experiencers receive from alleged ET sources. I believe the term is “the signal-to-noise ratio, (often abbreviated according to Wikipedia as SNR or S/N). In scientific applications it compares the amount of useful signal to background noise.

SNR can also be used to compare the ratio of desired information to irrelevant data in say an online discussion. The “noise” here might be off topic comments that prevent relevant data from being exchanged.

When UFO researchers are given supposedly accurate information from unacknowledged sources, opportunities to verify the data are often non-existent. Thus by dutifully repeating such unverifiable accounts, a journalist or UFO researcher runs the risk of disseminating disinformation meant to confuse or deceive the public.

When it comes to encounters with representatives of what might be called “higher intelligence agencies,” the so-called aliens can be reasonably expected to be doing something very similar. What experiencers are told is probably a mixture of some true information along with misinformation. Also it is likely that human experiencers might not have the capacity to accurately transmit knowledge that is beyond our level of comprehension. Experiencers’ narratives might therefore reflect human limitations and not necessarily a deliberate attempt to deceive.

As a part time organizer of networks of contactees that I call “the contact underground.” I count myself among the saucer faithful. It is my assessment that the UFO phenomenon is likely ET in nature and that attempts to peacefully interact with UFO intelligence is the socially responsible course of action.

This endeavor understandably is considered to be fringe by the larger society. Alas contactees have also been disparaged by important elements of the UFO research community. Important groups like MUFON in my opinion focus too much on collecting sighting reports and do not follow protocols that would enable investigators to directly interact with the alleged ETs.

It is nearly 70 years since the Roswell Incident and I am compelled to ask how much more can we learn by categorizing the shape, color, position in the sky and other physical parameters of UFOs? Like it or not, if we are going to advance our knowledge of the phenomenon we are going to have to do as Grant Cameron has suggested in his many public talks and that is to “Talk to ET.”

This is what I imagine the contact movement is attempting to do. Although the signal to noise ratio may not always be the best, directly interacting with UFO intelligence and staging Human Initiated Close Encounters (HICE) is a path that increasing numbers of citizen investigators are choosing.
